We started this excursion flying into Nice and being transported to Monte Carlo.  Gambling is wasted on me so I left with the same amount I arrived with.  Breaking even is always good.  This was in 2013 and I’d been doing too much traveling for business and my waist line shows it.  The accommodations were outstanding though.

One of the big casinos in Monte Carlo.  The whole area is quite beautiful and picturesque.  Some people can’t keep their hands off the anatomy of the statues.

We were there just before the race so there was a lot of activity in setting up for the grand event.  My mother told me that Carlo Baratelli, her step father, had raced in Monte Carlo.  I wonder…
