After a career that spanned more than three decades in government and cybersecurity, including service at the General Services Administration, the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, and the Federal Communications Commission where I served as Chief Information Security Officer, I learned that my greatest professional strength was understanding how complex systems work—whether those systems were technologies, organizations, or the people who operate them. That same curiosity has followed me into retirement. My travel blog is not simply a collection of photographs or travel itineraries. It is an extension of a lifelong desire to learn, observe, and understand the world. Travel allows me to explore history, culture, geography, architecture, art, and the lives of ordinary people in places far from home. Photography gives me a way to preserve and share those experiences. Through this blog, I hope to tell stories that encourage others to look more closely at the world around them, because every place has a history, every landscape has a story, and every journey offers an opportunity to learn something new.
